Not the typical “I believe in Jesus & I sin as I please.” But the real “I love Jesus & I’m going to prove it with my lifestyle.” What will it take? Just something to think about. | IG : MsTerricaLatrice
I’ve ministered to many people who tell me they’re asking God to send them a husband | wife (all while sharing a bed, premarital sex, and a soul-tie with someone else). My response is always: How is God going to bless us with something if we have that spot occupied? How are our potential spouses supposed to know we’re available if we’re already cohabiting with someone we have no intentions marrying, linked in a complicated, facebook relationship, or posting pictures with our (wo)man of the month? Our mouths may ask for one thing, but our actions ask for another. We have to make room for whatever we ask God for. God is powerful and He answers prayers, but He does not force or manipulate anyone. If you want God to do His part, do yours! 1⃣ Exit that dead-end relationship. 2⃣ Unlink those profiles. 3⃣ Delete those pictures from social sites. 4⃣ Get in your own home and in your own bed. 5⃣ If God said no, stop begging Him to change His mind. Let’s stop wasting time with people who we know aren’t for us. Imagine five years later the regret we’ll feel that we’ve wasted so much time that could have been with someone God tailored for us. Stop cheating yourself. God has more for you than what you’re accepting, tolerating, and holding onto. I pinky promise. 😘 || IG : MsTerricaLatrice
Comparing yourself to those doing better or worse than you both leads to different forms and fruit of pride, which is why the only person we should be in comparison with is the person we’re called to be. You should be your own competition — you, as in the person you were yesterday and the person God expects you to be. When we stand before God, He’s not going to be concerned with how many houses we bought, how many cars we drove, how many awards we received, how much money we made, how better off we lived material-wise than others, or how many people knew our name. He’s going to be concerned with how many souls we brought to Christ, the fruit we beared, and the purpose we were assigned. When we stand before Him, we’ll be stripped of everything we worked hard for. The only advocates we’ll have to speak on our behalf is Jesus and our fulfillment of purpose. So today I challenge you to 1⃣ Establish an intimate relationship with Jesus 2⃣ Live out what you’re called to do 3⃣ Don’t allow anything or anyone to distract you from what really matters. God is faithful, and He won’t allow what you do for Him to be in vain. So whoever is having a hard time leaving the past & its carnal mind behind, I assure you He’ll bless you better in your latter than your former. I pinky promise. || IG - MsTerricaLatrice

Reading “One Day I Saw A Black King” by J.D. Mason reminded me that we should always be thankful of the blessings that we have, things and people. They’re only borrowed for a limited time. What are you doing with the blessing God has placed within your hand?

One of my biggest lessons I’ve had to learn was to accept that I wouldn’t always know or understand the things happening in my life. The unknown & uncertain were two things I feared. As I grew with Christ, my trust & faith had to too. It’s almost been three years. Each year has brought its own tests, but it’s also brought its own victories. I learned to trade in my plans for His & I wasn’t able to do the exchange without trusting that He knew what was best for me. There were some people & things I thought I was happy living with until I experienced the joy of living without them. Sometimes God’s blessings aren’t found in what He gives, but in what He takes away. Life Application: 1⃣ Pray for an increase in faith. 2⃣ Be prepared for your faith to be tested. 3⃣ Give up anything & anyone you KNOW God has no desire for you to be attached to.
